A visual locator is the basic equipment of an installer when working with optical fibers.
The bright red beam with a wavelength of 650nm is easily visible, the light escapes outside the optical fiber at every discontinuity. In this way, using a light pen, you can immediately find cracks or breaks in the fiber and check the continuity of the track in the simplest way. The visible light source is useful when inspecting patch cords, pigtails, splitters, etc.
Emitter type: LED, laser class: II with an output power of 30mW with a range of up to 5km on MM and 25km on SM fiber.

The metal housing of the locator with a switch with visual indication of the operating mode and an integrated dust cover for the optical port is a tool resistant to impacts and random vibrations.
